William R. Holmes, Sr., 82, of South State Street, Niles, died at 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Riveridge Manor, Niles, following an extended illness.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Niles, with the Rev. William T. Melody of the University of Notre Dame officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Niles.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, where a liturgical prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
