Cassopolis wins Centreville crown

CENTREVILLE – A fast start led the visiting Cassopolis Rangers to an 85-52 win over host Centreville Thursday night.
The win gave Cassopolis the championship of the Centreville Invitational.
The Rangers (4-2) raced out to a 24-8 lead and never looked back. Cassopolis led 38-29 at halftime.
The Rangers outscored Centreville 47-23 in the second half to pull away to the easy victory.
Paul Curtis led a very balanced Cassopolis attack with 21 points.
The Rangers also got 13 points from Kris Morgan and Nick Davis, while P.J. Smith and Drew Warren both scored 12 points.
White Pigeon tournament
The Edwardsburg Eddies were defeated in the opening round of the tournament at White Pigeon High School by Coldwater, 74-45.
Martin defeated the host Chiefs 53-40 to advance to the finals.
Edwardsburg will play White Pigeon in the consolation contest tonight at 6. Coldwater and Martin will play for the championship at 8 p.m.
