NILES – Cocaine and other drug evidence was found at 518 Third St. Apt. E in Niles on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 10 p.m., according to a press release from the Berrien County Sheriff's Narcotic Unit.
Vladimar Moranchez Gonzalez, 23, and Sebastian Bernal Martinez, 28, were both arrested for possession of cocaine, one with the intent to deliver, and maintaining a drug house.
The police received a warrant to search the apartment after a two-week investigation into narcotic sales from that address, the press release said.
Officers found and seized $600 worth of street cocaine from Gonzalez's pocket along with $958 in cash, a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and two cellular phones, the release said.
