Niles police investigating Wednesday stabbing

NILES – Niles police are investigating a stabbing at Colonial Bar at 661 N. 11th St., Niles, that occured on Wednesday, Dec. 20, according to a press release from Niles City Police Department.
The victim, William Ditz, 43, of Buchanan, was treated on the scene by Niles Fire Department and Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service then transported him to Lakeland Hospital in Niles where he was further treated for injuries, the press release stated.
Detectives have identified an individual who is believed to have more information about the incident, and they are attempting to locate this person.
Also Wednesday, two adults and one juvenile were arrested by the Niles Police Department when drugs and a handgun were found at a Niles residence.
The Niles Police Department found 14 grams of crack cocaine, 19 grams of marijuana and a .32-caliber handgun as evidence at 1124 N. 9th St. in Niles, the release stated.
The adults were charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house. One of the adults was charged with possession of an unregistered gun.
