CASSOPOLIS – Visiting Athens went undefeated to win the Cassopolis Colossal Duals on Saturday at Ross Beatty High School.
Athens was 5-0, defeating White Pigeon, Cassopolis, Marcellus, Mendon and Watervliet.
White Pigeon was second with a 4-1 record, while Cassopolis finished third with a 3-2 mark. Marcellus, Mendon and Watervliet all finished with one victory on the day and four losses.
Going undefeated for the Rangers were J.J. Bethea at 119-pounds, Corey Lowe at 140-pounds and John McCoy at 152-pounds.
Going undefeated from Marcellus were Kesley Reynolds at 103-pounds and Chad Robinson at 145-pounds.
Finishing the day with a 4-1 mark for the Rangers were Scott Turnbow at 275-pounds and Mike DeGraff at 171-pounds. Marcellus' Max Stokes was also 4-1 at the season-opening tournament.
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday as they travel to the Galesburg-Augusta tournament.
