With only a handful of games remaining in the regular season, it is going to be tough for anyone to catch Sue Dobrich.
Dobrich, a Cass County Family Court Judge, has a five-game lead on her nearest competitors – Dowagiac Athletic Director Greg Younger and Dowagiac Daily News Managing Editor John Eby.
Dobrich is 96-24 on the season after going 9-1 this past weekend. Younger and Eby are now 91-29.
Also hot on her heels are Dowagiac City Clerk Jim Snow and Daily News Sports Editor Scott Novak, both of whom are 90-30 on the season.
Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, is currently sixth with a record of 89-31. A game behind Upton are Mike Behnke, Dowagiac's softball coach, and Cassopolis Police Chief Frank Williams, who are tied at 88-32.
Williams went 10-0 this past weekend.
Rounding out the forecasters are Dowagiac Police Chief Tom Atkinson (85-35), FOX 28's Allison Hayes (84-36), sports official Bryan Wild (83-37) and Niles Daily Star Managing Editor Michael Guilmette Jr. (69-51).
This week and next weekend will wrap up the regular season for the forecasters.
