DECATUR – As the holiday season approaches, family and friends gather to share and celebrate.
The holidays bring forth special memories of those who have touched our lives and loved ones who are no longer with us.
To honor and remember these special people, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Cass County, will once again sponsor the Tree of Honor and Remembrance.
For the 11th year families and friends will be able to purchase crimson and gold bows for $5 to place on the tree.
Each bow will bear the name of that special person remembered or honored.
These names will be published weekly in the Dowagiac Daily News.
All proceeds will be used to support Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan's grief support program.
The bows may be purchased this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Hospice booth at Beckwith Park in Dowagiac and the following businesses in Dowagiac: The Marshall Shoppe, Hairitage, Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce and Murphy's Flowers or by calling Hospice at (269) 423-6015.
Bows will be available throughout the holiday season.
If you are unable to visit one of these locations, give Hospice a call and they'll see that your bow is on the tree.
For 25 years, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan has served the community as a private, non-profit health care agency committed to caring for individuals and families confronted with serious illness and loss.
