The Dowagiac freshmen and junior varsity basketball teams were both defeated by visiting Otsego on Tuesday night.
The freshmen squad dropped a tough 27-21 decision to the Lady Bulldogs, while the junior varsity fell, 44-14.
Freshmen basketball
Marcie Ennesser and Yasmine Chambliss both scored six points for the Chieftains.
JV basketball
Dowagiac was outscored 32-6 over the final three quarters by Otsego.
The Chieftains trailed just 12-8 after one period of play, but fell behind 20-10 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs broke open the contest by outscoring Dowagiac 14-0 in the third quarter.
Kayleigh Hutchings led the Chieftains with 10 points. Brittany Gnatz and Caitlin Courtney both finished with two points.
The Chieftains will wrap up the season on Thursday at Paw Paw. The freshmen game is scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m., while the junior varsity contest will tip-off at approximately 5:45 p.m.
