Five members of Dowagiac's Rocket Football team wrapped up a perfect four-year career at the annual Pumpkin Bowl held on Oct. 28 at Chris Taylor-Alumni Field.
Cameron Villalobos, Dontel Highsmith, Conner East, Dylan Chorba and Seth Starret finished their careers with a 29-0 mark.
Dowagiac defeated River Valley in its final game, 39-6.
Highsmith rushed for two touchdowns, returned an interception for another score and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Derek Starke added a touchdown, while Kyle Frese also scored for Dowagiac.
Conner East added an extra point.
Dowagiac finished with 301 points scored and only allowed 40 points on defense with four shutouts in seven games. Kerry Poehlman, Don East, Johnny Brooks and Ron Starke coach the team.
