Dowagiac cagers draw first round bye

With only three games remaining in the regular season for most area high school basketball teams, it is time to turn our focus to the post season.
The tournament draws have been completed for the teams in the Leader Publications coverage area.
Dowagiac will travel to Coloma and face the winner of the St. Joseph-Coloma contest to be held on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The tournament will open up at 6 p.m. on Nov. 13 when Berrien Springs takes on South Haven.
The winner of that contest will face Lakeshore on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
Dowagiac, like Lakeshore, received a first round bye.
Dowagiac and the Coloma-St. Joseph winner will play at 7:30 on Nov. 15.
The semifinal winners advance to the championship game on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.
Edwardsburg will compete in the Three Rivers district, which also begins on Monday, Nov. 13.
The Lady Eddies received a first round bye and will meet the Three Rivers-Vicksburg winner on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Battle Creek Harper Creek, Sturgis and Battle Creek Pennfield are the other participants in that district.
Class C
Cassopolis, the two-time defending champions, will travel to Constantine and face the winner of the Constantine-Colon game on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.
White Pigeon will face Marcellus on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., while Colon and Constantine will play at 8 p.m.
Centreville will face the White Pigeon-Marcellus winner on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
The title game is set for Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.
