Cross country regional Saturday in Portage

Dowagiac will compete in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 regional to be hosted by Comstock High School and run at Portage West Elementary School on Saturday.
Bangor, Berrien Springs, Buchanan, Coloma, Constantine, Edwardsburg, Galesburg Augusta, Hartford, Kalamazoo Christian, Kalamazoo-Hackett Catholic Central, Brandywine, Parchment, Paw Paw, Schoolcraft and Watervliet will join the Chieftains.
The Division 3 boys' race will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the girls' race is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Comstock will also be hosting the Division 1, Division 2 and Division 4 races at Portage West.
The Division 4 boys' race is scheduled for 10 a.m. with the girls' race set for 11 a.m. The Division 2 boys' race is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. The girls' race is set for 2:30 p.m.
The Division 1 boys' and girls' races are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.
Running in the Division 2 race will be Allegan, Benton Harbor, Hamilton, Kalamazoo-Comstock, Mattawan, Niles, Otsego, Plainwell, Richland-Gull Lake, South Haven, St Joseph, Lakeshore, Sturgis, Three Rivers, Vicksburg and Wayland Union.
Cassopolis will compete in the Division 4 race being held at Gobles High School.
The awards for the Division 3 and Division 4 races will be presented at noon. The Division 1 and Division 2 awards presentation will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Benton Harbor-Countryside Academy, Bloomingdale, Bridgman, Cassopolis, Covert, Decatur, Eau Claire, Fennville, Gobles, Lawrence, Lawton, Marcellus, New Buffalo, Saugatuck, Lake Michigan Catholic and River Valley will join the Rangers at that site.
Tickets are $5 per person for all regionals.
