The Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade Orange and Black basketball teams split a pair of games against Lakeshore on Thursday.
The Orange team slipped past the Lady Lancers 23-21, while the Black team dropped a 24-19 decision.
Correshia Rogers led the Orange team with 15 points. Maddie Winchester added four points, while Kelsie Primley and Kylie Cox both finished with two points.
Reginna Kennedy had 10 points to pace the Black team. Alyssa Groth chipped in with three points. Carley Gentry, Whitney Donaldson and Jessica Harkey all had two points.
Eighth grade hoop team swept by Lancers
The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade Orange and Black basketball teams were both defeated by Lakeshore on Thursday.
The Orange team fell to the Lady Lancers, 35-17. The Black team dropped a 29-17 decision.
Kaisha Martin led the Orange team with 11 points. Bria Brookins, Heather Matthews and Heather Leonard all scored two points each.
Shatesha White led the Black team with eight points, while Ashley Charles added four points. Devon Ownby finished with three points and Bobbie Payne with two points.
