LANSING, Oct. 17 – A very lucky Dowagiac man claimed $132,004 after winning on three separate Club Keno tickets.
All three 7-Spot tickets were purchased on Friday the 13th at Beeson Street Bar.
The lucky player wagered $10 on two tickets with the Kicker option, which came up "3X" to win $60,000 on each ticket. The third ticket was a $2 wager with a $12,000 payout. That ticket also had a $4 winner.
The player said it was a good day when he came to claim his prize money at the Lottery office in Lansing.
He plans to use his winnings to buy a new car.
He chose his own numbers, based on birthdays, and said he usually doesn't wager more than a couple of dollars per draw.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.
Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing. Tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.
Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.
The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All Lottery proceeds are contributed to the state School Aid Fund, which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.
In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
