Wolverine Conference tennis tourney Saturday

The Wolverine Conference Tennis Tournament will be held on Saturday at Allegan, Plainwell and Otsego high schools.
Dowagiac's Taylor Townsend is the No. 3 seed at first singles. Townsend will face Vicksburg's Allison Oswalt in the opening round.
Ashley Smith grabbed the No. 5 seed at second doubles and will face Vicksburg's Katie Downs in the first round.
Calie Daniels will face South Haven's Emily Gruber in a first round match with the winner advancing to face No. 2 seeded Lexi Rice of Gull Lake.
Dowagiac's Shelly Urbranski grabbed a No. 3 seed at fourth singles and will take on South Haven's Michelle Maxwell in the opening round.
The Chieftains' No. 1 doubles team of Kate Duzynski and Kayleigh Sundman will face Paw Paw's Saimee Norg and Michelle Zwalva in the first round with the winner advancing to face Otsego's Brittany Spencer and Elizabeth Shawaryn in the second round.
Tonya Scherer and Elizabeth Kolden are the No. 5 seed at second doubles. They will face Paw Paw's Beth Field and Chelsea Davies in the opening round.
Dowagiac's No. 3 doubles team will come into the tournament as a No. 6 seed. Jessica Robinson and Katie Tyrakowski will take on Otsego's Erica Marshall and April Leversee in the first round.
The Chieftains' No. 4 doubles team of Ami Sarao and Kristan Stelmasiak are also a No. 6 seed. They will face Vicksburg's Kristiana Jorgerst and Violet Lyngstad in the opening round.
The tournament is scheduled to begin shortly after the coaches meeting at 8 a.m.
