Ashley Smith and Nick Krizinski have been named the Daily News Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 24 through Sept. 30.
Smith was 3-0 last week for the Chieftains and finished with a 6-3 record in Wolverine Conference play.
Krizinski fired a 37 at the Wolverine Conference Jamboree held on Sept. 25 to help Dowagiac finish seventh.
Each week, the Daily News will select two Athletes of the Week.
The selections come from nominations from the Dowagiac Union High School coaching staff.
