Visiting Niles Ring Lardner Thursday afternoon defeated the Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade Orange and Black teams.
The Orange team dropped a 32-20 decision to the Lady Vikings, while the Black team was defeated, 22-11.
Correshia Rogers scored eight points to lead the Chieftains. Kelsey Primley added six points. Jacoya Brookins, Meghan Hojara and Sierra Herter each scored two.
The Black team got four points from Carly Polomack and three points from Whitney Donaldson.
Caroline Mitchell and Erica Greenwood both scored two points.
Eighth grade
Host Niles also defeated the Dowagiac eighth grade orange and Black teams on Thursday.
The Orange team dropped a 41-12 decision to the Lady Vikings, while the Black team lost 24-14.
Victoria Robinson led the Orange team with eight points. Kiele Belew and Kaisha Martin both scored two points.
Shatesha White led the Black team with 10 points. Ashley Charles finished with four.
