The Dowagiac junior varsity soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with visiting Allegan on Monday afternoon.
Dowagiac (3-3-1) and Allegan played to a scoreless tie in the first half.
Allegan grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute. The Chieftains tied the match at 1-1 on a goal by Jordan Daly in the 61st minute.
Dowagiac, which outshot Allegan 13-7, missed a penalty kick in the 65th minute according to coach Craig Black.
The Chieftains are back in action on Wednesday when they face host Comstock at 5 p.m.
