The Dowagiac varsity golf team finished eighth at the Wolverine Conference Jamboree hosted by Gull Lake on Wednesday.
South Haven won the jamboree with a team total of 154. Plainwell was second with a 157, while Allegan was third with a 160. Gull Lake and Vicksburg rounded out the top five with scores of 167 and 170 respectively.
Otsego was sixth with a 171, while Comstock was seventh with a 174.
Dowagiac finished with a 175, while Three Rivers and Paw Paw rounded out the order of finish with scores of 182 and 204.
Kevin Proshwitz led Dowagiac with a round of 41.
Tanner Melvin shot 42 for the Chieftains, who also got a pair of 46s from Nick Krizinski and Richie Hutchinson.
"It was a wonderful course and the conditions were fantastic," Dowagiac coach Van Johnson said. "We just did not play well again."
