EAU CLAIRE – Mike Wilson shot a 40 to lead Berrien Springs to a 169-180 victory over Dowagiac in a non-conference golf match at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course on Wednesday.
Mike Hoff and Richie Hutchinson, both of whom shot 44, led the Chieftains.
Dowagiac also got a 45 from Nick Krizinski and a 47 from Kevin Proshwitz.
Tanner Melvin finished with a 48.
The Shamrocks in the junior varsity match nipped the Chieftains, 222-225.
Dowagiac's Jacob Miller and Berrien Springs' Theron Badgero shared medalist honors with a 51.
The Chieftains also got a 56 from Bo Parsons, a 57 from Trent Fryman and a 61 from Jacob Slaughter. Joey Gajewski finished with a 67.
Dowagiac is back in action today as it hosts Lakeshore at Hampshire Country Club in a non-conference match.
The varsity and junior varsity squads are set to tee off at 3:30 p.m.
