CASSOPOLIS – Scholarships are available for the Home Management Seminar at the Cass County Council on Aging beginning Sept. 11.
The Home Management Seminar is designed to help men and women of all ages, backgrounds and economic levels develop skills in managing home and family. This 10-week course normally costs $50, but scholarships are available thanks to a grant from the Michigan Gateway Community Foundation.
Seniors can take advantage of this class to help them learn or enhance their skills as they go through life changes, from the 'empty nest' to the loss of a spouse.
Younger men and women can gain knowledge from those with years of experience in areas such as personal finance, goal-setting, and time management.
In addition to instruction, the class offers personal support and guidance to help people overcome fears and other barriers that may be preventing them from seeing their full potential.
Home Management Seminar is presented as a partnership with Home Management Resources, a charitable organization that works to strengthen families through training and support. The COA is the only facility in Michigan licensed to teach this curriculum.
To register for the class or for more information, call Dona Billey-Weiler (269) 445-8110 or (800) 323-0390.
