STEVENSVILLE - You and your family will enjoy the 11th annual Berrien County Cancer Service Bike Ride, which offers many different routes to accommodate all levels of cyclists, held on Sunday, June 25.
Whichever route you choose (10K, 15 miles, 25 miles, 50 mile or 100K), you will ride through some of the most beautiful countryside in southwest lower Michigan.
The routes, from flat to rolling terrain, will take you by small ponds and lakes, while traversing through Berrien County's orchard and vineyard country. Ride with your family at a comfortable pace and pick your distance. Enjoy the food and relax at your rest stops.
The proceeds raised from the ride will benefit the Berrien County Cancer Service, Inc. The Cancer Service provides free medical care and support services for residents of Berrien County who have a cancer diagnosis.
Your registration fee and/or tax deductible contribution helps the Cancer Service to continue their work on behalf of cancer patients and their families.
The ride will depart from and return to the Berrien County Cancer Service Center in Stevensville. Riders may hit the route between 7 a.m. and noon. 100 K riders must start by 11 a.m. All riders must be off the routes by 3 p.m.
Sag stops with free refreshments will be spread throughout the courses. Sag Wagons will follow the tour to provide emergency support for riders.
For your safety, every rider is required to wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet. This ride is designed for those in good physical condition. Riders must be capable of riding the distance of their choice and are expected to do so under their own power.
Registration can be picked up at the Berrien County Cancer Service Center, 7301 Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville. If you have any questions, please call 269-429-3281.
