NILES - Dowagiac and Niles will square off in the opening game of the Colonial Classic Invitational on Saturday.
The Chieftains, ranked No. 3 in Division 2, and the Vikings, an honorable mention selection in the latest poll, will hook up in a softball showdown at 11 a.m.
In the other first round game, host South Bend (Ind.) Clay will take on LaPorte (Ind.) at 11 a.m.
The winners will advance to the championship game scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. The consolation game will be held at the same time.
