Brandywine, Bridgman tennis teams end in tie

NILES - Brandywine and Bridgman met on the tennis court Wednesday afternoon for a Lakeland Conference match and ended in a 4-4 tie.
Winning for the Bobcats were No. 3 singles player Billy McDonald, who took a 6-3, 6-2 win over Miles Strebeck.
Tyler Espick defeated Tyler Carlson at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 3 doubles, Travis Bakeman and Greg Beaver took a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win over Ryan Jedlicka and Peter Merrick.
Brian Krisher and William Johns won their first set 6-4, fell in the second 4-6 and rallied to win the third 6-4 against Ian Strebeck and Ryan Frank.
Brandywine's No. 1 and 2 singles players Cory Barber and Chris Harrison suffered losses in their matches.
Barber was defetaed by Eric Clark 6-1, 6-1 and Robby Clark took the 6-0, 6-2 win over Harrison.
The No. 1 and 2 doubles teams of Jeremy Hechtl and Dan Whitney and Adam Simons and Pat Van Laere also fell in their matches.
Hechtl and Whitney were defeated by Tyler Fisher and Blake Barker 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 and Simons and Van Laere suffered 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 losses to Roger Gampel and Pat Beach.
