Tornadoes move to 1-1 with win over Buchanan F.C.

NILES - The Tornados squared their record at 1-1 Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Buchanan F.C. in Blossomland Soccer action at Ballard Elementary in Niles.
Andy Low, a former Brandywine standout, scored both goals for the Tornados.
Doug Summers had the lone goal for Buchanan (0-2).
On Friday, the St. Joe Kickers opened up their season with a 3-1 win over P&R F.C. (0-1-1) at Ott Field in Bridgman.
David Warsen had a pair of goals for the Kickers, who also got a goal from Billy Marx.
Harry Reinhardt had the lone goal for P&R F.C.
Play will continue on Wednesday when St. Stephen's Villains hosts Whirlpool United at Rockey Weed Field in Stevensville.
On Thursday, the St. Joe Kickers will host the Tornados at the Kicker's Club in Arden. Also on Thursday, Buchanan F.C. will host Real Dowagiac at Buchanan Middle School.
The week will wrap up with Niles R.A.P. hosting P&R F.C. at Niles High School on Saturday and the Dowagiac Dawgs hosting Diamonds United at Chris Taylor-Alumni Field on Sunday.
All the games will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the exception of the Saturday and Sunday matches, which begin at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.
