Chiefs take home victory

NILES - Brandywine's tennis team hosted Dowagiac Monday afternoon for a non-conference match at Plym Park.
The Bobcats were only able to take one win, which came from Billy McDonald at No. 3 singles, allowing the Chieftains to take home the 7-1 win.
McDonald defeated Mike DeRose 6-3, 7-6. In other singles matches, Cory Barber fell to Adam Carlson at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Chris Harrison dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Mike Hoff at No. 2 singles and Tyler Espick fell to Josue Miranda 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
At No. 1 doubles, Jeremy Hechtl and Dan Whitney suffered a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Andrew Cuthbert and Aaron Wilson.
Adam Simons and Pat Van Laere fell to Kyle Kowalski and Adam Hess 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Travis Bakeman and Greg Beaver were defeated by Kevin Simpson and Kevin Proshwitz 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
Brian Krisher and William Johns took a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 loss at No. 4 doubles against Aaron Krieger and Jason Caniff.
The Bobcats will play in the conference tournament this Friday, which is held at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind. Match times are set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
