Coloma, Lakeshore win Jr. High track meet

Coloma captured the girl's portion of the junior high track meet held Monday at Dowagiac Middle School.
Lakeshore captured the boy's portion of the meet.
In the boy's meet, Coloma scored 89 points, Lakeshore 75 points, Dowagiac 41 points and Brandywine 35 points.
In the girl's meet, Lakeshore scored 102 points, Coloma 64 points, Dowagiac 55 points and Brandywine 14 points.
Finishing first for the boy's team were Brandon Douglas in the high jump (5-6) and 70-meters (9.11), and Efrain Soto in the 200-meters (25.5).
Taking seconds were David Compton in the 1,600-meters (6:09.26), Austin Adams in the 100-meters (13.55) and the 3,200-meter relay team of Soto, Compton, Kasey Proshwitz and Brad Hornberg.
Finishing fourth were Proshwitz in the 3,200-meters (13:40), Steven Baylock in the 55-meter hurdles (10.17) and Justin Gordy in the 200-meter hurdles (35.71).
Taking firsts for the girls were Morgan Tanzillo in the 55-meter hurdles (9.83), Breneesha Jones in the shot put (29-0) and ShaTesha White in the 70- and 100-meters (10.03 and 13.9).
Finishing second was Kaisha Martin in the 100-meters (14.36) and the high jump (4-5).
Taking third were Britnee Allerton in the long jump (11-8), Elisabeth Gokey in the 400-meters (1.17.20) and Devon Ownby in the 70-meters (10.71).
Finishing fourth were Elizabeth Huff in the 1,600-meters (7:53.77) and Ashley Pritchard in the 70-meters (10.85).
