In game one, the Bucks were unable to produce any runs after knotting up the score at three in the fourth and fell 6-3 to the Bulldogs.
Jim Connors started on the mound for Buchanan and Tim Mosier came in for relief in the fifth and was tagged with the loss as Centerville scored a run in the sixth and added two more insurance runs in the seventh.
Buchanan out hit the Bulldogs 11-5, but it was six Buck errors that proved costly.
Five Buchanan players had two hit performances at the plate in the opener. Aaron Koziel, Zack Powers, Brenson Stroman, Evan Cauffman and Mosier produced at the plate for the Bucks. Koziel and Mosier each recorded a double. Nate Pearrow was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs.
