No competition for Bobcats baseball team

NILES - The Brandywine varsity baseball team held its second Round Robin tournament this season on Saturday.
The Bobcats hosted Lake Michigan Catholic and Hartford and had no problem defeating the two teams.
In the first game, the Bobcats took a 7-1 win against LMC.
Brandywine scored three runs in the first inning, two in the second and two in the third, while the Lakers' only run came in the top of the first.
Jake Harris picked up his sixth win of the season at the mound for Brandywine and allowed just three hits in the game. Zach Brookes took the loss for LMC.
Matt Wieger had two hits and made it to base four times for the Bobcats. Justin Ely collected two RBIs and Eric Rush added a triple for Brandywine.
In the second game against Hartford, the Bobcats didn't hesitate to grab a 10-0 win.
Brandywine had three runs in the first inning, two in the second, fourth and fifth and one run in the sixth.
At the mound, Travis Duncan collected his first varsity win with a two-hit complete game shut-out.
Noah Udell, Ely and John Stapleton each had two hits for Brandywine in the final game.
The Bobcats, now 10-8 overall, will host Berrien Springs on Tuesday for a Lakeland Conference doubleheader. The first game is set to begin at 4 p.m.
