Ranger baseball team gets win

The Cassopolis varsity baseball team picked up its second victory of the season on Monday with a 10-7 non-conference win over visiting White Pigeon.
The Rangers scored four times in the first, once in the third, three times in the fourth and twice in the fifth to account for its runs.
Jonathon Foster picked up the victory as he scattered seven hits and struck out three.
Andre Broussard went 3-for-4 with a double, while Nick Davis was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

Cassopolis vs. River Valley
Visiting River Valley used a big inning in both games to sweep a Lakeland Conference doubleheader from Cassopolis on Tuesday.
The Mustangs won the opening game 8-2 and then took the nightcap 11-1.
Dan Stanage took the loss in the first game for the Rangers.
Cassoplis' Nick Davis was 2-for-3. The Rangers finished with five hits.
In the nightcap, Andre Broussard suffered the loss.
Davis tripled for one of Cassopolis' six hits.

Cassopolis softball
The Cassopolis varsity softball team improved to 3-8 with a sweep of visiting White Pigeon on Monday in non-conference action.
The Lady Rangers won the first game 13-3 and then took the nightcap, 11-1.
Symone Pompey was the winning pitcher in the first game.
The Lady Rangers banged out 15 hits including a home run by Becky File.
Molly Vite doubled and tripled for Cassopolis, which also got a triple from Pompey. Kayla Green added a double.
In the second game Green was the winning pitcher.
Samantha Vlasiak had a double and a triple for the Lady Rangers, who finished with 14 hits.

Cassopolis vs. River Valley
The Lady Rangers continued their hot streak on Tuesday with a sweep of Lakeland Conference foe River Valley.
Cassopolis took the first game 13-3 in six innings and then won the nightcap 5-1.
The sweep of visiting River Valley improved Cassopolis' overall record to 5-8.
Symone Pompey struck out eight and allowed just five hits in winning the first game.
Alisha Solloway had two doubles and a single for Cassopolis. Nikitas Nelson added three singles.
In the second game, Kayla Green tossed a four-hitter with a pair of strikeouts.
Solloway had a double for the Lady Rangers.
