Buchanan tennis team claims conference win

NILES - The Buchanan tennis team was able to add a Lakeland Conference win to its record Wednesday evening as the Bucks handed visiting Edwardsburg a 5-3 loss.
This was the first conference game for both the Eddies and the Bucks.
Buchanan's doubles players all won their matches, while Brad Burns was the only Buck to win a singles match. Burns defeated Tyler Kendle 6-1, 6-1.
True Sulier and Andrew Gordon took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Justin Praklet and Matt Marback at No. 1 doubles.
The No. 2 doubles team of Dillon Bailey and Andrew Scoggin took a 7-6, 7-6 win against Mitch Parsons and Justin LaPlace.
At No. 3 doubles, Sean Thornton and Andrew Frederick defeated Andy Breslin and Khris Merrill 6-0, 6-0.
Eric Lentz and Josh Niven took the 6-2, 6-4 win over Joel Booker and Tom Blunier at No. 4 doubles.
Winning for the Eddies were Branden Muszynski at No. 1 doubles. Muszynski defeated Harper Sulier 6-1, 6-3.
Nate Harness took a 7-6, 6-1 win over Mario Bonordi at No. 2 singles and Josh Marschke grabbed a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Ryan Skene at No. 3 singles.
Buchanan is back in action this Saturday when it travels to Muskegon Catholic. Match times are set for 8 a.m.
