Bucks take two easy wins in Bloomingdale

NILES - Buchanan's varsity baseball team is well on its way to a great season.
On Thursday, the Bucks traveled to Bloomingdale and grabbed two easy wins, improving its overall record to 3-1.
Buchanan took a 10-6 win in the first game and a 10-1 win in the second.
In game one, junior Zack Powers took his first win of the season in relief at the pitching mound. Other pitchers for Buchanan were Aaron Koziel, Buddy Williams and Brent Ruff.
Mike Douglas and Chuck Gravatt were the losing pitchers.
Top hitters for the Bucks were Brenson Stroman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Tim Mosier, who went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Paul Forster was the lone top hitter for Bloomingdale with two singles.
In the second game, freshman Tyler Knisley earned his first varsity win at the pitching mound.
Other pitchers for the Bucks were Mitchell Plott and Ruff.
Cameron Cole and Gravatt suffered the loss at the mound for Bloomingdale.
Top hitters for Buchanan were Plott, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three scores, Travis Reith went 2-for-4 and Ruff went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Next stop for the Bucks is the Bronson Tournament on Saturday. Games are set to begin at 10 a.m.
