Finally, the truth about eating habits!
Let's look at some questions and answers:
Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life a is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats a why waste them on exercise?
Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart does not make you live longer a it's like saying to live longer you need to drive your car faster. How do you help yourself? Take a nap.
Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: Let's start by asking what a cow eats? Hay and corn – these are vegetables. So couldn't you say that by eating steak you are vicariously digesting the vegetables into your system? Eat chicken if you need more grain in your diet and pork chops to get 100 percent of your daily vegetable slop.
Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, you have a body, and you have body fat, so your ratio is one to one.
Q: Aren't fried foods good for you?
A: Foods are fried in vegetable oil. They are totally saturated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?
Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Chocolate is made with cocoa beans. Once again – a vegetable. Many times there is milk added to recipes with chocolate, which is a bonus dose of dairy.
Q: Will sit-ups help me tighten up those abs?
A: When you exercise a muscle it gets bigger, right? Why would you want to make your stomach bigger?
Hopefully after the first one you read you wondered what the heck I was thinking!
Even though these are all completely FALSE, many people still hold on to the hope that there is an easy way to eat healthy and lose weight. Believe me; I have heard the most interesting things. Remember there are thousands of diet schemes that are just as ridiculous as these that are trying to reel you in everyday. Do not get caught up in their traps – if it seems too good to be true it probably is. Weight loss does not come off in a day the only real way to take it off and keep it off is to expend more calories than you take in. So watch what you are eating and keep on moving - to be successful you need to make it a part of your everyday lifestyle.
