ATLANTA - Mother Nature got the best of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series on Sunday when the Golden Corral 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway was washed out.
Race officials attempted to dry the track after morning rain, however, they were unable to do so before another weather system moved through the area washing out the event.
The Golden Corral 500 will now be run at 11 a.m. on Monday. The race will be broadcast on FX and some FOX stations.
Casey Kahne will sit on the poll, while South Bend's (Ind.) Ryan Newman has the outside poles.
