NILES - Spring doesn't officially begin until Monday, but the spring sports season is already under way.
The Buchanan varsity tennis team will be hosting its 18th annual Buck Indoor Classic this Saturday at 2 p.m.
The singles players will head to Mingus Creek Club in Battle Creek, while the doubles teams will play at the Kalamazoo YMCA.
Marshall, Whitehall and Vicksburg will be in attendance as the Bucks will try to go for their fourth tournament win.
Bender stated that his team has a solid nucleus from last year. Many of the sophomores on the team got a lot of quality experience last year and this year Bender is expecting his junior class to carry the Bucks through.
Buchanan has only two seniors on the team, Andrew Gordon and Ryan Skene, who are both captions.
