Street light hit

NILES - A city street light will have to be replaced following an alleged drunk driving accident which happened early Saturday morning.
Niles City Police reports state Jose Antonio Gomez-Garcia, 32, of 214 Cass St. Apt. 1, Niles, was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday, March 12 for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to the reports, Gomez-Garcia was eastbound on Main Street when his 1995 Mazda left the road and struck the street light. The light was near the intersection of Ninth and Main streets, behind the Niles Post Office.
Niles Utilities Manager James Lehmkuhl said the light has to be be replaced because of extensive damage.
