Lincoln Day speaker, pastor and author

EDWARDSBURG - The Rev. Keith Butler, candidate for U.S. Senate, will be the keynote speaker at the Cass County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner here on Saturday, March 18.
Butler began his affiliation with the Republican Party in 1982 and brings a lifetime of public service to Michigan, including positions on the Detroit City Council and memberships on the National Republican Platform Committee and Michigan Republican State Committee.
Butler is also the founding pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center Church, a 21,000-member congregation headquartered in the metropolitan Detroit area.
He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and earned his theological studies degree from Rhema Bible Training Institute in Tulsa, Okla., and an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Canada Christian College.
The Rev. Butler and his wife, Deborah, have been married for 30 years. They have three children, all of whom serve with them in the ministry.
Butler will discuss his position on the many issues we face and will be available to speak with constituents both prior to and following the dinner.
He is the author of “Reviving the American Spirit - a Strategy of Hope for the 21st Century.”
The Lincoln Day Dinner will be held at the Edwardsburg American Legion Hall on US-12 in the village.
Social hour begins at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7, followed by the main program. Cost to attend is $25 per person, $10 for students.
