DECATUR - It wasn't quite the way Brandywine wanted to end its season, but head coach Rex Pomranka is pleased with the way the year turned out.
The Bobcats fell to Constantine 38-36 in Wednesday evening's semifinals at Decatur High School.
The Bobcats picked up for pins on the night from Brian Krisher (145), Justin Price (152), Adam Simons (189) and Aaron Edquist (275).
Winning by decision for Brandywine were Bryon Fisher (103), Pat Can Laere (125) and Warren Watson (130).
Decatur went on to defeat Constantine in the final round, 43-27.
Brandywine ended the season with an overall record of 29-7. The Bobcats were 5-1 in the conference and finished in second place, behind conference champions Buchanan.
With the season over, Pomranka's next step is the individual regional wrestling tournament Saturday at Mendon.
Van Laere (125), Watson (130), Molica (135), Price (152), Perry (160), Simons (189), Jeremy Hechtl (215) and Edquist (275) will all be traveling to the tournament in hopes of grabbing a regional title.
