Salad luncheon turns 35 years old

EDWARDSBURG - Ladies, come and be waited on by the men of the First Presbyterian Church at the 35th annual Salad Smorgasbord and Style Show to be held at 6:30 p.m. March 16 at the Edwardsburg High School, 69410 Section St.
Sponsored by the Women's Association of the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church, tickets for the event will go on sale at $7 per person on Sunday, Feb. 26.
This will be an evening of enjoying friends, eating salads, watching a fashion show by models including Miss Edwardsburg and her court and possibly winning a door prize.
The ladies of the church have sewn a flower-basket quilt that took them a year to put together which will be raffled off.
Quilt chairpersons are Jan Slager and Judy Boepple, who will also be mistress of ceremonies. Quilt tickets are available by calling Pat Tavernier at (269) 663-6232. Fashions are from the Dress Barn and Maurice's, both of Mishawaka, Ind.
Ticket sales and reservations can be made by calling Tanda Stiffler at (269) 663-2005. It is expected that 400 tickets will be sold. Chairpersons are Cooky Bailey and Patty Patzer.
