Berrien Springs gets by Cassopolis, 61-48

BERRIEN SPRINGS - The host Shamrocks outscored Cassopolis 16-7 in the fourth quarter to preserve a 61-48 Lakeland Conference victory Tuesday night.
The Rangers hung with Berrien Springs through the first three quarters before the Shamrocks put the game away.
Berrien Springs (12-3, 9-2 LAC) grabbed an early 14-9 lead and led 31-25 at the intermission.
The Rangers cut the lead to four points by the end of the third quarter, outscoring the Shamrocks 16-14 in the period.
Cassopolis, which dropped to 8-7 overall and 5-6 in the league, got 18 points from Dan Stanage and 10 points from Neal Bullocks.
Paul Curtis and Wil Loux finished with eight and six points respectively.
Berrien Springs was led by Matt Demler's 15 points. The Shamrocks had a well-balanced attack as Shelby Wood finished with 11 points, Ryan Little 10 points and Dowin Coffy 10 points.
Berrien Springs also won the junior varsity contest, 76-72.
