NILES - Niles' varsity wrestling team traveled to Three Rivers Wednesday evening and picked up two wins, ending its regular season record with a 27-3 record.
The Vikings defeated Edwardsburg, 66-3 and host Three Rivers, 41-22.
Head coach Bob Galvin said his team and coaching staff was very pleased with the end results.
It was also a great night for Jake Glueckert and Mason Stephenson.
Glueckert, who wrestles in the 112-pound weight class, hit his 100th career win and Stephenson, who wrestles at 135-pounds, set a new school record with most career wins surpassing the 127 mark.
Although Niles ended the season on a good note, Galvin and his crew are going to have to concentrate on the next big match, which is the Big 16 individual conference tournament this Saturday at Coldwater High School.
