Eddies knock off New Buffalo

Adam Hancock and David Daniels scored 17 of Edwardsburg's 29 fourth quarter points in a 71-61 non-conference victory over visiting New Buffalo Tuesday night.
The Eddies (5-7) led just 42-41 heading into the fourth quarter against the Bison.
Hancock netted 10 points in the decisive fourth quarter, while Daniels netted seven points as the Eddies held a 29-20 scoring advantage in the final eight minutes.
Hancock finished with a game-high 25 points.
The Eddies also got 15 points from Tony Hayes and 10 points from Kevin Stack. Daniels finished with nine points.
Edwardsburg led 14-12 after one period of play and 35-29 at the intermission.
New Buffalo outscored the Eddies 17-12 in the third period to cut the Edwardsburg lead to one-point heading into the final stanza.
Matt Parker led the Bison with 19 points.

A big second half kept visiting Berrien Springs in the thick of the Lakeland Conference basketball race.
The Shamrocks exploded for 30 second half points to cruise to a 66-46 victory over Edwardsburg on Friday night.
The Shamrocks led 20-16 after one period of play and 36-27 at halftime.
The Eddies were outscored 12-7 in the third period and then 18-12 in the final eight minutes.
Berrien Springs' Ryan Little and Matt Demler combined for 30 points.
Demler led all scorers with 16 points, while Little finished with 14.
Shelby Wood, who came off the bench, finished with 12 points.
Tony Hayes and Adam Hancock both scored 13 points for the Eddies.
David Daniels finished with eight points.
Edwardsburg returns to action on Friday when it heads to Bridgman to take on the undefeated and Lakeland Conference leading Bees.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
