Wanita A. Mercado, 70, of Chicago Road, Niles, died at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Lakeland-Niles, following a brief illness.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb 1, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Niles, with the Rev. Joseph McCormick O.S.A. of the church, officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Halbritter Funeral Home, in Niles. Evening prayer service will also be held on Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, in Niles.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
