William E. Barthel, 77, of LaSalle Avenue, Niles, died at 5:25 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at his home, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Halbritter Funeral Home, in Niles, with the Reverend Franklin P. Schuster III of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating.
Burial will take place at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, in Niles.
Family will receive friends, at the funeral home, on Saturday, at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the services.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were by Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
