Do the winter blues have you or your child feeling down? Want an early taste of summer? Why not sign your child up for a summer sports program?
There are a few baseball leagues in this area that have already begun registration for the 2006 season.
This will benefit your child in many ways. It will get them active while they are out of school, teaches them teamwork and good sportsmanship and it is a way to meet new friends and just have fun.
Brandywine Cal Ripken Youth Baseball will be holding live registration on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Niles Township Hall, 320 Bell Road.
Brandywine Cal Ripken Baseball offers the following divisions:
The Rookie Division is for children ages 6, 7 and 8. This division provides basic baseball fundamentals and the children experience machine pitch baseball.
The Minor Division is for children ages 9 and 10 . This division provides intermediate baseball fundamentals and the children experience live-pitch baseball.
The Major Division is for children ages 11 and 12. This division provides advanced baseball fundamentals and the children experience live-pitch baseball.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. on both days. Call Angie Searles, 684-6862 with any questions or visit the league's website at eteamz.com/bcrbrl.
Registration is currently open for the upcoming 2006 Niles FOP Little League baseball season.
