Speedway robbed

NILES - The Michigan State Police is investigating an armed robbery complaint of the Niles Speedway gas station, South M-51 and Fort Street in Niles Township.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, a black male suspect entered the Speedway. He approached the counter at the register, allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded the money from the register. The suspect fled the scene in a white late model Chevrolet Impala. Initial information is that a second subject may have been waiting in the vehicle for the suspect to exit the store. The suspect left the scene with an undetermined amount of money.
Troopers on the scene were assisted by the Berrien County Sheriff's Department and Niles City Police.
