Pickles wraps up Daily Star Football Forecasters crown

NILES - Niles Daily Star Sports Editor Erika Pickles has claimed the Football Forecasters crown, posting a 120-48 overall record.
Brandywine varsity football coach Terry Borr came in second place with a 119-49 record, while Niles varsity volleyball coach Jami Foster took the third place position with a 116-52 record.
We have a three way tie for fourth place between Buchanan varsity basketball coach Reid McBeth, Brandywine schoolboard member Dennis Cooper and Niles varsity football coach Dave Janicki, who all went 115-53.
We also have a three way tie for fifth place between Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, Buchanan Athletic Director Joe Austin and Niles High School senior Colin Smith, who all ended with 111-57.
Niles-Buchanan YMCA Senior Program Director Andre Gresham claimed the 10th place spot, posting a 110-58 record. Niles High School Assistant Principal Molly Brawley finished 11th with a 109-59 record and Daily Star Publisher Jan Griffey took 12th place with a 96-72 record.
During our second set of bowl games, our forecasters had some problems, with Foster posting the highest record of 6-4.
Austin went 5-5, Brawley and Griffey both went 4-6, Janicki, Cooper, McBeth and Pickles all went 3-7, while Upton and Borr went 2-6.
