NILES - Crafty lady.
Those are the two words which best describe Niles resident Dorothy Santana. For years she has been making crafts whether it be creating different Christmas ornaments, picture frames, doing needle pointing, making beaded angels or worley gigs.
Santana enjoys making different things and working with her hands helps keep her fingers going as her arthritis sets in.
Santana makes her confections and takes them to the local police department, schools and her doctor's office.
Santana has been making crafts since she was a young girl and her skills are all self taught.
Santana encourages others to start creating things of their own and to use their wildest imagination and they can make whatever they like and in turn they will give others ideas of things to create.
