NILES - “We love the fact that here at St. Mary's we are able to put on a Christmas pageant which tells of the birth of Jesus Christ,” said Gretchen Butler, principal at St. Mary's School.
Butler said the school will continue to celebrate the birth of Christ despite the fact that other places have gotten away from telling the true story of Christmas.
The kindergarten through second graders start off the show with several musical numbers, it then moves onto the play portion of the evening with the third through sixth graders acting out the story of how Jesus was born.
Butler would like to thank the Keuspert family for donating the sound equipment used in this year's show.
