Cass, Eddies set for holiday tourney

Cassopolis, Dowagiac and Edwardsburg will be joined by host White Pigeon for the annual Sturgis Bank &Trust Holiday Basketball Classic to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 28-29.
The tournament will be staged at White Pigeon High School.
Edwardsburg will face Dowagiac in the opening game of the doubleheader slated to begin at 6 p.m.
The host Chiefs will then take on the Rangers on Wednesday, Dec. 28 beginning at 8 p.m.
The two first round losers will meet in the consolation finals on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The winners advance to Thursday's (Dec. 29) championship game at 8 p.m.
There will be a junior varsity tournament as well with White Pigeon and Cassopolis playing at 2 p.m. on Dec. 28. Dowagiac and Edwardsburg will play at 4 p.m.
The consolation contest is set for 2 p.m. on Dec. 29 with the finals slated to begin at 4 p.m. Admission is $4 for the entire day and no passes will be accepted.
