NILES - On Thursday, Dec. 22, Niles' own favorite rock n' roll star, Tommy James, will be the featured guest on Gloria Cooper's radio show Gloria's Place on 1290 WNIL from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. weekdays.
This interview is a special one as James will be in the Niles studio live talking to Cooper.
Many community members have followed his career, which began at WNIL, where he recorded his first hit “Hanky Panky.”
Cooper said anytime James comes back to Niles it's a popular event because this is where he got his start.
Tommy James and the Shondells were the hottest group in music from a stretch in the 1960s and continue to be popular today.
